What is the range of the Silent Call Transmitter?

I understand I have to attach it to the alarm system - which is in my kitchen - and then have it work in conjunction with my grandfather's ShakeUp alarm which is in his bedroom on a different floor and other side of the house.

    I've done some research since I learned about the transmitter as a general purpose connection to the ShakeUp. The manufacturer is a little vague on the subject, saying it will work from 100-500 feet depending... My understanding is that 500 feet is generous, but that it has worked well in the average house - it has been installed in many such situations. So I think you should be fine.
